Except it just so happens that I am a salon owner - have been for 19 years - so I have to admit I am a little critical when it comes to salon and spa services. So I decide to book the appointment for a few weeks out. The receptionist couldn't have been nicer. She called me a few days before my appointment to confirm and to ask me what I would like for lunch. The big day arrives and I head over to Sanctuary. It is a beautiful salon, very well done, and everyone is so nice. My first service was a massage with Ashley. The massage room was lovely and very zen. I felt relaxed just going in. The massage was wonderful! Ashley is very, very good and extremely professional. I was a noodle by the time she was through with me. Oh, I should also mention that you can put your clothes back on in between services or they give you the option of slipping into a big fluffy robe and slippers. Nice touch. Next came my facial. Not only was Fatima sweet as can be, she was very knowledgeable about my skin. She used the Sanctuary line of skincare on me and it was really great. She answered all of my questions about my skin and the products, but was never pushy about selling them to me.The facial was productive, relaxing and one of the most thorough I have ever had. My skin positively glowed for days afterward. Next came my manicure and pedicure. Sophia ushered me into a relaxing pedi spa chair and turned on the massage feature for me. Just when I thought I couldn't get any more relaxed, she proceeded to massage and pamper my feet and at one point, I thought I might fall asleep. Then Sophia moved on to my hands and pampered me some more. I managed to wake up a bit and we had a lovely conversation. What a sweetheart. It was now time for lunch and I was set up at a nice little table in their outdoor patio - yes, I said outdoor patio. The presentation of the food was very professional - no paper plates and napkins here! My Chinese chicken salad was delicious. Lunch was simply lovely. Last, but not least, I was on to see Jocelyn for my hair. After discussing my hair, she took me to their shampoo room where the lights are dimmed so you can really enjoy your shampoo experience. She gave me a very relaxing shampoo and then did a deep conditioning treatment that really worked! Believe me, I have tried them all. My hair was extremely soft and shiny without being weighed down. As she styled my hair, I could tell that she is an accomplished stylist. I would trust her with my hair any day. The finished product was great. It looked beautiful and felt wonderful. The entire Sanctuary staff was very welcoming and they really know what they are doing (and I would know). I had a truly wonderful day. Bravo Sanctuary!" — Rachel O.
