I just got my hair cut and colored here and I love it! Kacey did an awesome job matching a photo from a shorter style I had in 2003 (done by a former Sanctuary stylist). She gave me an updated version of the style and the blonde matches perfectly. One of my favorite things about Kacey is how much she enjoys what she does. She loves making people look "hot" to use one of her favorite terms. It definitely makes you feel good about your hair when the stylist is really passionate and excited about what they do. One of the reason's I rate this as my favorite salon is that Sandy, the owner, constantly educates herself on the latest trends and encourages her staff to do the same. She even holds classes in the salon for her staff. If you are ready for a new hair style I highly recommend Kacey! I love her to death and think she does some of the best short haircuts I have ever seen. — Myka S.

Well, how do I review my experience with Sanctuary Salon when it's been over 10 years with them!?! All I can say is they are amazing and FRANK.. WELL, Frank is a house hold name in my family. He's amazing and the type of hair dresser that you just tell him what idea you have and he takes it from there. I receive many compliments on my hair and color and I tell everyone "Thank you - but my hair belongs to Frank because unfortunately it would not be like this without him". Frank is amazing with color and could probably do it with his eyes closed! My Mom also goes to Frank because there came a time where unfortunately (sorry Mom) I could no longer let her go to her other hair dresser - and she's never left him since! I moved to the east bay and decided my best bet was to stick with Frank, and so for about 8 years I had driven to Santa Clara for my hair appointments - well worth it if you ask me! The overall Salon experience is great as everyone is very nice and I'm sure anyone would be happy there. — Molly D.

It says a lot about a place you're willing to drive about 30 minutes out of your way for. Ayla is a wonderful hairdresser who found me on myspace one day. I decided to go to her having had a few too many bad experiences and have never gone to anyone else since in the year or so I've been seeing her. They now have been offering medicures/manicures and they are WONDERFUL with a range of prices to fit your needs. I recently went in for a brazillian/eyebrow wax and everything went fantastic! Very clean and everyone is friendly and accomodating. It is a bummer sometimes that they are not open Sunday/Monday, but not such a huge issue since they are open all week until 9pm. (I believe saturday till 6? not positive...) — Annalisa B.

Walking on the treadmill at a local gym about a year ago, I called out to the gals there and asked in desperation, "Does ANYBODY know someone who can cut and color hair in this area?" Three different and very stylish women answered in chorus, "Frank!" After laughing at the unexpected coincidence, they gave me the number of Sanctuary Salon and I made an appointment right away. I slunk in with a bad case of straw-head, after several bad cut and color experiences, and strode out with a healthy, natural-looking hairstyle. And it's only gotten better since that day. Frank is Fantastic! A true professional - and a great guy. When I found out about this website, I was almost reluctant to share the Best Hairdresser in the county. But someone was kind enough to give me the referral that resulted in my rescue from Hair Hell, so I'm taking the high road and passing on the good news. "You're welcome". .. I grew up with very straight, flat hair.  As a young woman I wanted to find someone who could cut my hair in the style that I wanted.  I even carried a picture around with me that showed someone else with the haircut I wanted.  I tried lots of places. No one could do it.  I eventually gave up and just let my hair get long.  I wore it long for more than 20 years until I found Sandy and The Sanctuary Salon.  I knew she was out there somewhere and now I have the cut that I have wanted for all those years.  I always have a great time and I look forward to my appointments at the Sanctuary.  Everyone is fun loving and helpful and I always get treated like a queen. — Melinda S.
